@englandforeverist The ball thrust bearing is diferent to a normal bearing, it has two flat washers and ball bearings between them like a sandwich and the 45 degree bevel gears lean against them to stop them scuffing against the internal gearbox casing

@Sparky732007 What is the thrust bearing and what does it do?

It looks like the old speed controller on my car is not working properly. What type of ESC do you recommend to a brush 540 motor? Or is it better to switch over to a brushless system?

@Gompe A tamiya 101BK (~30$) will fit perfectly for a standard 540 motor. Don' t spend money into brusless system. Buy ball bearing a new ESC and run, run, run...

Nice :) I found my old Boomerang at my parents house yesterday. Never forget how fun it was back in the 80's. Can't wait to bring it back to life with a brand new 540 rs motor :)

Cool Video! Seems like a pretty good car. Does it have bearings and an electric ESC? Thanks!
