Our Westie goes absolutely berserk when the neighbour's cat struts by our window.
God knows what will happen if they ever meet face to face!

They are very sweet and loyal dogs. They are very inquisitive so be weary of what you leave on the floor or at the edge of tables. They might want a taste...haha.

Mine is very very smart but completely equally stubborn...
She learnt 14 TRICKS and astonishes everybody!
14 TRICKS IN ONLY ONE YEAR, SINCE BABY AGE!!!
They learn quickly, but you need to be patient and always go on, no matter what, cause there were many times I felt: Oh my gosh, what a stupid dog... she'll never learn this... OK, I wont quit. I'll try harder.
She learnt hard tricks, as rollover or play dead in 2-3 days.
Have always food while training. Good luck

My brother was a Marine and would weightlift and had some of a macho thing going on. Once he was walking our Westie and some boys went by in a car yelling "That's the ugliest cat I ever saw!!!" My brother was so offended and wanted to run after them. I don't know how a Westie could be mistaked for a cat.
