Great info! I was born a semi hemi pelvectomy 40 years ago and just today got approved for my 1st C- leg. I am a bit nervous since it will be soooo different! Lot of new things to consider.

Good for you!! I am 41 years old and I and have been a hip disarc for 22 years now. I am fixing to receive my prothesis equipped with a c-leg, and I sure hope that I can operate it good enough to put these dang crutches up! That hip joint looks killer, I am going to inquire about that at my next fitting. Best wishes to you.

Looks like you have mastered the new leg! I am excited as I am going to get the same system. How long did it take to feel comforatable using the new leg? Is it possible to take a pic of your socket with the belt system? Do you cover the leg with a foam cover? have you had any problems with the c leg?. I am a 58 year old male hip disartic as result of a motorcycle accident in 1967. I still have 4 " of my femur. Any helpful hints you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks Stu. email me at
