I'm well aware of that, because you knew that from the arias libretto.
I know about that too. And the only reason I commented that was because at my All-State audition, I wasn't allowed to perform unless the song had an author.

@logaboya It used to be believed that the Roman painter Salvator Rosa composed this and other songs because he owned a handwritten book of various songs that was sold after his death to a traveler, but that was disproved in 1949. He's right, "Star Vicino"'s author is still unknown.

The composer is Salvator Rosa. Remember to include that you are singing the vocal ornamentation by Arthur Shoep, only if you are; in your slate.
