Changes from 1 April 2011
From 1 April 2011 the rates for Local Housing Allowance will be reduced across the country:
Weekly excess
The maximum £15 weekly excess that some customers can get will be removed.
Limits on payments
A limit will be introduced so that Local Housing Allowance does not exceed:
£250 a week for a one bedroom property (including shared accommodation)
£290 a week for a two bedroom property
£340 a week for a three bedroom property
£400 a week for a four bedroom propert

@Clarksoninusa cutting public services has an adverse effect on private business...shutting a govt dept can mean that private supplier no longer has a customer..no customers no jobs and so forth..post WW2 govt was biggest employer in UK..no business could take on the mammoth task of rebuilding the country..new skills and training happend..free market in that time..would never have worked..in fact worked against the rebuilding..

@000XxXMaisyXxX000 what if you were born as the child of one of these parents, think about that. Thats the problem, people are looking at situations not from the people who are going through it, but from their own perspective. That way, you will never be able to feel for these people. We are humans, we make mistakes time and time again. Lets put that behind us, stop worrying about, ipods, and blackberries, lady gaga and all the things which are worthless. let us start loving each other.
