I had to raise it but without the antenna because I'm having obstructing limbs cut down for clearance of the arch radius. I had to get the tower out of the way so the limbs do not crush my tower upon falling to the ground. As soon as the limbs are cut, I can then raise the tower with the antennas on it.

  • You could easily install your 2T on that tower, all you need is just some way to lift it up there, and make sure your tower is securely bolted to the ground.

  • The thought had occured to me about using the tower for the siren. There is a device called a "jin pole" that ham radio operators use to lift large and heavy equipment up to the top of towers. If i can get a-hold of one of them, the job literally is a breeze up there lol!

  • rigging up that winch was very ingenious! Thank you for the idea! will make raising and lowering my future antenna a breeze!

  • honestly not sure of the make. I got it from a guy i know who got it from a cb operator and there is no labels or markings on any of the tower sections at all. My grandfather has the same tower and without anything hinting as to its maker.
