BMW Held an event at Monticello Raceway . I am in My 2010 BMW 535 XI . With an instructor being that this is their First event at this Track . My apologies for the wind noise because the window needed to be open for hand signals and I was not allowed to mount the camera inside on the windshield and or the roof of the car . I had 4 half hr sessions . this was one of the four .

  • Hey jimy, nice vid hehe i see that you had enough time to adjust the rear view mirror. damn you had the smile going on since first gear, i also noticed when you where taking the turns the smile was gone than on the straight line back again hehe, Good driving bro.

  • @ulmontenegro Hey Robert , It was a great day , Me and the instructor were laughing away . The track was not what I was expecting but fun none the less . I was being somewhat held back because I was out horse-powered most of the time by the M3 and M5 and some otheres so I had to give them Precedence . ill send you info about the next event . BMW will have another event In Sept at NJ Motor Sports Park . So sign up at BMW car club of america $50.00

  • The best part of this video is the smile on the driver's face the entire session. I didn't realize that they threw a red flag on the first session of the day in the red group. How did you mount the camera? Is that a GoPro camera?

  • @skierman64 I didnt think anyone would pick up on that hahah . This was the 3rd out of 4 sessions . I belong to the " Red Group " Yes you guessed correctly! The red flag came out at this session @ about 10 min into the race . The camera is a Nikon coolpix P6000 , I added a Wide angle convertor with a Nikon WC76 Wide angle Lens . I mounted it to the Sunroof with a 'Film Tools" Suction mount . The video would have been better on the windshield but they were very picky about obstructions. .

  • @inno68 Just a minor correction. This was not a race session. It was a HPDE (High Performance Driver Eduction) event. There is no timing or position tracking and passing only if leading car gives you a signal in designated zones. It is aimed at having lots of safe fun and learning. Enjoy!
