Good movie and people think is over acted? People need to get out more and watch people, trust me, there are people worse than that!! Just talk to a black person about 9/11, you will see what's over acting, or watch sports with a white person, you will see what really over acting is.

These people who say its awful acting don't seem to get that they're acting.... like someone who doesn't act normally. And some of the lines in the film stick in your head, that you get you to think. Its not just about a mental patient either, its about... doing something you know is wrong, to enjoy your life.

This Film is soo good! I hate all these people that say its poorly acted or weird. They don't seem to realise the difference between an uncomfortable and bad film. This film is not supposed to be laughter and happiness, its a serious film about mental health etc... Watching a mental patient is going to be uncomfortable, and the fact that it has the power to do that surely makes it a good, affecting film

Looks like a good movie. Just rented it to watch. I just finished my masters degree in psychology. Although the movie is not accurate historically, it looks like a good story.

She overacted the part... didn't believe her in it... Kiera Knightly is as stunning as the other actresses you mentioned... she just looks 'dangerously' too thin.. and we don't need to see them glam in the roles they aren't meant to be glam in. I saw 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.. again not a glam actress in this particular role, very thin, but the acting was much more believable.
