3D animation test I did in Maya with the Joel Anderson's free Dobby rig found on www.creativecrash.com. It's a well built rig, with all the textures included, and it's completely free. I rendered this using Mental Ray, with final gather, motion blur, and sub-surface scattering.

  • I like the characterization and acting choices here. If you just get in some nice overlapping motion in the fleshy parts of his face (ears and nose) this will really shine. It's a nice render too.

  • @emomobile thanks :)

  • @Kruxunge I also agree with you! Just making those small subtle changes can really make the animation that much better, and more natural.

  • a very good start, if you want crits i can give some.

I noticed that the ears are made of concrete since they ait moving when hes turning his head, the lower body looks like its stuck on a stick since its not moving sideways at all. subtle breathing and balance adjustment will give a more believeable feeling. Lips needs more sync

still pretty high class tho, keep it up.

  • nice dude, check mine its shit compared to this
