I was wondering why every month my net pay is half my gross pay. The funny thing is, right now I'm below the poverty line for my area, I'd hate to see the taxes people above the poverty line pay. That means some of us work 8 months of the year just to fund the government? Why don't the idiots that want "mommy government" to regulate everything get told "fuck off"?

yes in ontario we are slaves.our great "free" haelthcare is worth it isnt it?Even though I see private healthcare clinics rising up all the time.Average wait in an emergency room in a "free"clinic is 4 and a half hours.average wait in private care.28 minutes.

@TheLOren1975 I have no problems with aboriginals. I think they are the ones who are the true owners of the so called USA and Canada. You should be furious that a white man has come and take control of your land. Are you not even slightly upset that your ancestors were brutally murdered so that whites can have your land. If you are aboriginal I have respect for you because I believe Canada belongs to indigenous people. As far as the other things I have said taxes, doctor I still stand by it.

@hashimotto Just so you know I'm an aboriginal of Canada and I have experienced more prejudice from people outside Canada and from non "White" people. I suppose I would rather look at the more positive big picture and not lump everyone into the same category saying that a whole country is Shit. We are all from a Country and when someone like you makes such nasty comments about the country I live in, OF COURSE I'm going to tell you that you are not RIGHT! I am living in Barbados. They are lot of people who have left Canada for US why because it is a shit country health care system is shit (doctors dont give a damn if u are dying, canadians say that), taxes are horribly high enough to make average joes living condition impossible, there is petty competition and arrogance, rudeness between people and white canucks think they are superior

It's a good country. Perhaps people don't like paying taxes but we have our freedom and healthy water, abundant resources etc.... Copious more examples of positive things about this country to offset the few negative ones. Could be worse, much worse. Could be living in a country whose citizens are afraid to step out their front door every day for fear of being shot. Perhaps if you feel this is a shit country then it is time for you to cross the border to another frontier.

The Conservative Majority in Parliament and the Liberal majority in Queen's park is the best case scenario. We need to stop looking to one party solutions to Canada's problems, and start realizing there are always people who will disagree with each other, and those people need to be accounted for.
