  • Honestly, I don't get the point of doing TAS runs. What is really accomplished? What skill is showed off? Not game-playing skill; anyone would be able to produce any kind of TAS run given enough time.

  • @genrlcvr Easy. Entertainment purposes. Why is anything being put on YouTube? For entertainment purposes.

  • i want to suck your dick

  • @LuciaLancaster I think that can be arranged...

  • awesome stuff. so switching between the two weapons while firing makes you fire faster? didn't know that!

  • If you have 2 Crush missiles, it doubles the amount that can appear on screen if you switch back and fourth.

  • Well obviously it's a TAS, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

  • @genrlcvr for giggles? they're still impressive on their own.

  • @genrlcvr

Can't tell if this is a troll comment. lol As a gamer have you honestly never sat and thought, "Gee... I wonder how long it would take to beat 'insert game' in the most efficient way possible"? As previously stated, they're entertaining. And, yes, they DO require skill a tremendous amount of skill. Sure, someone with lots of time would have a good shot at it, but it requires great memory, precision, and execution to play through any video game perfectly and without dying.

  • @brizzlestick I was just checking if you understand that this is not a legitimate play through the game but a tool-assisted emulator constructed video, and what that concept means, because you talk about the "skill" shown off in the video without seeming to realize that this isn't legitimate gameplay.

  • @genrlcvr Are you sure you responded this to the right person?

because I don't know what the hell you are talking about..

  • @brizzlestick I don't think you understand the abbreviation TAS. Meaning tool-assisted, i.e., emulator save-states, etc., (which are not recorded into the video, so he's not really "doing" what the video depicts).

  • @genrlcvr dude, comon, that takes skill to dodge every single enemy, especially on hard...

  • @Tatsuhiko What I'm saying is I don't get what's entertaining about a video of "gameplay" that doesn't really show any true skill, but is something anyone with the time can patch together from emulator save state reloading and replaying and cutting into a "video." Of course, you don't clearly label it as TAS so I guess it may be "entertaining" at first if the viewer is thinking this is legit gameplay, before realizing that's impossible, and then realizing the video is therefore pointless.

  • @skinnyguy38 Yes, but though this guy doesn't clearly label it in the title this is of course a tool-assisted run. It would be as close to impossible as anything gets to actually do this kind of passive run legit in real time. I don't care if you took the most autistic Rain Man video game playing genius who will ever live in the history of the Universe and gave him one million years; he would not be able to do this kind of run legit. Which leaves us the question: what's the point of TAS runs?
