I created an 8 Bit version of Float On by Modest Mouse.
Enjoy if you will.
I just needed somewhere to put it.
Excuse there not being an actual video.

  • How do you Make songs into 8 bit???

  • @lilpanagos07

These were made with a free VSTi instrument called Peach. Should be easy to find with Google.

Though, better than that. Use an actual gameboy with a LSDJ cart or Nanoloop. Google that also :D

  • awesome job, btw the download isn't working, do you know how I could get it?

  • @Sandstorm232

Hmmm, sorry about that. If you wanna private message me your email I can send it to you.

  • Cave Story!!! <3

Did you use ORG Maker to make this?

  • @UBeeni

Cave Story for the win indeed :]

But I didn't use the orgmaker. I remember seeing that a while ago though.... I used a couple freeware VST instruments called "Peach" and "Toad"

  • @brodoodler The song is by Modest Mouse they are from 2003 or so. I was talking about the 8-bit sound.

  • @fingerme100 i dont even remember them but this song still lingers into my mind now and then

  • I'm using this in a 4h movie project, if that's okay with you. (I might even upload it at some point)

  • @CadetPD Thank you :D

  • I think its impossible not to Smile while listening to this song.

  • @randmiller88 That's why you are number one! You go number one.

  • @fingerme100

8-bit gaming was popular in the late 1980s (OK, maybe until 1991 or so).

"Float On" was released in 2004.

    DOUBLE FAIL.
