University of Missouri Extension entomologist, Wayne Bailey demonstrates the techniques of scouting for insects in an alfalfa field. He discusses the destructive impact of alfalfa weevils, pea aphids and potato leaf hoppers on the crop. Dr. Bailey also scouts for beneficial insects such as the lady bird beetle and parasitic stinging wasps.
