@flotsamist i agree that charlotte's breakfast was surprisingly ordinary too, not sure why the narrator calls it a "pitiful portion" i mean, clearly charlotte isn't eating enough the rest of the day, but to call that particular breakfast "pitiful" is to send a wrong message

@oOpinkioriginalOo Actually, contrary to popular belief, you DO have to eat to survive. Shocking, I know. Anoretics eat very, very little, just enough to live. Some only eat once a week, but they're still eating. And it's always no fat, no substance types of foods (such as fat free yogurt or rice), or something to raise their blood sugar so they won't pass out, like coffee with artificial sweetener. It's easy to make judgements on anorexia, but it's a disease that no one truly understands.

@oOpinkioriginalOo She probably has an eating disorder or something which COULD develop into anorexia. It isn't as simple as not getting hungry. She's pretty controlling over her diet and not eating what she thinks would make her get fat.

@oOpinkioriginalOo you're right that she doesnt have full blown anorexia, as u described, but what i meant was her mindset. she is controlling her portions as afraid to get fat, why else would she admit in the end that she "overthinks" about food.

you ignorant people are what causes the hospital to spend extra money on people being admitted for "anorexia" anorexics do NOT eat, they barely even drink water 24/7.
Charlotte just doesnt get hungry.
