A project for class done in Alice 2.2

This is my first real attempt at Alice, as this is the final project for our half-semester problem solving and logic class. Two downsides to Alice 2.2... first, timing apparently may drift from run to run (happened to the red lights in the video), and two, when you export your "world" to video, it can look really choppy/crappy if you have a lot of objects or logic going on. Hopefully this is fixed in Alice 3.0. I guess you can throw in the fact Alice 2.2 only exports to .MOV instead of offering h.234 or some sort of MPEG4 format to save space. (This 40 some odd-second animation + portion of a MP3 comes in at 27.5MB approx in .MOV format)

I know this was done a while ago now lol. We literally had 3 days to get it done, and with work and all that it was some long nights. This was in Alice 2, I heard Alice 3 is much improved. The only thing I really really didn't like about it was how it created the videos. It was basically taking a bunch of screen shots and merging them. It made a perfectly timed sequence out of sync in the video (as you can see in the video I posted, there's a slight delay in the video vs audio)

I write code, I started with Visual Basic (since I was a beginner) and now I use C# and C++, and also HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. To me, writing code is a lot easier and less annoying than alice. Because with code, I can actually get things to work well and actually look good

thats funny. i'm taking a programming class right now that uses alice. I hate aliice.
