@Hperman09 Bullshit. US attacked Iraq to protect Kuwait, Saudi oil interests.
Under Saddam Hussein, Iraq had adhered to the OPEC quota limit but he was about to opt out and go it alone raising Iraq's total out put to 6 million barrels a day. This extra crude would flood world petroleum markets, OPEC would devolve into mass cheating and overproduction, oil prices would fall over a cliff, and Saudi Arabia—both economically and politically—would fall to its knees.

@haroonkhaleel One of Saddam Hussein's General Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti who took part of the Iraq-Iran wara dmitted himself that the US never gave WMDs to Iraq.(Read the interview from Feb. 2006).
Since then, i have done a great research that it was Europe that sold WMDs and most of the weapons ten times than of the US to Iraq.

Point being, don't make a blanket statement like that without doing your own thorough research. For your information, I have done the necessary research since this was a requirement for my thesis. Have a great day.

I'm sure Europe also had a hand in the weapons arrangement but the U.S. is also very complicit if not directly responsible to Iraq's acquisition of sophisticated weaponry. There is direct evidence of the usage of chemical and biological weapons in the Iran-Iraq war which the U.N. ultimately concluded was due to shipments given to Iraq by the U.S. I'm laughing at the fact you used "WMDs"...you must be one of those people who still thinks we invaded Iraq to find these mysterious WMDs.
@karlsmith00
My father went there and took us there to help out to participate in Doctors Without Borders due to the need of neurosurgeons in rural Iran. While we were there, people were hospitable and very respectful towards us. Never had an incident with violence, threats, or even impoliteness. I have nothing but respect for Iranian people. Well, unless you count the weapons the US gave Saddam to kill Iranians, the US is responsible for many of the deaths, albeit indirectly. Media misleads.

I think it smacks of cultural imperialism to try to dictate business norms to other countries. If we want to do business in those countries we have to abide by their customs and practices.
