Karla Proud was one of over 250 international passengers aboard the Silver Sea "Silver Shadow" cruise ship bound for the Panama Canal via the Mexican Riviera. Karla Proud was a invited aboard the cruise ship as a guest jewelry designer to introduce and educate passengers about the Oregon Sunstone and Oregon Fire Opal. She was given large windows and jewelry cases to display her designs for sale.
Category 5 Hurricane Rick resulted in missing the port Cabo San Lucas, as well as extremely rough seas for several hours. Antigua, Guatemala was wonderful, as was experiencing the Panama Canal. This was an amazing cruise both as passenger and jewelry artist.
