Mike Maharrey, communications director of the 10th Amendment Center, discusses a recent opinion by Tennessee Attorney General Robert Cooper declaring that a "nullification" bill seeking to restrict the enforcement of federal gun laws that may violate the 2nd Amendment is itself unconstitutional because it violates the U.S. Constitution's "Supremacy Clause." Maharrey delivered his comments before the Tennessee Senate Judiciary Committee, Feb. 27. The measure, Senate Bill 250, didn't garner majority support in the committee when it came up for a vote.
