Not much, I just filmed myself dremeling off the mane and feathers of Breyer stablemate that I'm going to customize into a trotting Percheron. EDIT: I removed the mane and ears so I could sculpt new ones on before I painted it. I don't just hack off random parts for the fun of it.

  • What Dremel Bit did you use to saw off the mane? Also can you do a video on how you actually sculpt manes & tails? How do you get a wire support in the body for a tail?

  • @illuminatedface I'm not sure what this exact bit is called, there are plenty of different bits that work though. I'm still trying to figure out a good way to sculpt manes and tails, I'll make a video once I find a good way. And for the wire tail I dremel a hole the thickness of the wire I'm using where the horse's tailbone would be and glue it in with super glue.

  • @SaturnineStudios Thanks for the reply, Also what do you use to bulk your wire up before sculpting the tail? Thanks

  • @illuminatedface I usually wrap my main tail wire with a thinner wire to keep the clay from slipping off. Sometimes I use the apoxie and sculpt out the basic shape of the tail, then when that's dry sculpt in the hairs and detail.

  • Well, now I have to see him finished!

  • There's a link to the finished horse in the video description.
