how long did it take to render? Did you use Maya live?

It took about 5 hours to render for 720x576 with a pretty crappy computer..
I didn't use Maya Live, it was done with an old version of Maya (4 or 5) and it was done about 5 years ago.. :)

This is awesome man! very impressed by the environment and use of ncloth You doin a course in maya or CGI? ill be startin soon! then maybe have somw work worth uploadin, cool look forward to sein more work!

I'm not doing any courses but thanks for the kind words.
excellent :) you got the light direction right, but watch out when he steps forward into the shade..

Hehe, thanx.. I know I cheated alot with the shading but it was just a test.. :)
I do use about 181 lightsources (180 for the domeeffectlighting).

thats cool I use blender and it cannot do this tipe of rendering!
