The work is dedicated to Oleg Tantsov. On May 29, 2009, it has been performed by Oleg Tantsov in Chamber Hall of Moscow State Philharmonic Society.

The main idea of the work was to create the atmosphere of ice (or snow) melting on the sun, blown by fresh cold air. According it, it is chosen the name for the work combined with two words: Clarinet and Arctic. For performance of the work it is necessary to press the right grand pianos pedal by any suitable adaptation (for example, a pencil) for resonated sounds of clarinet.

  • Fantastic piece! I like the cappriccioso passages, as if the sun is playing with the ice... Great performance too.
