This kitteh has stopped by our house for the last several weeks. Every time I went outside to befriend her, she would run away. Today (7/9/09), she was sitting under our tree when we got home from running an errand. When I spotted her, she meowed at me so I approached her. For awhile, she stayed under the tree meowing at me. Then, all of a sudden, she decided she'd like to be friends and she came out. This video is what happened after!

Also, Pepper, our neighbor's dog came over. Surprisingly, the kitteh wasn't scared!

I don't know if she's a stray or if she belongs to a neighbor. She doesn't have a collar, but she is declawed in the front.

***UPDATE*** This kitteh has a home! I found out that she belongs to the neighbors' next door and her name is Bella. She uses their doggy door to get out.

  • Aw!

  • @shannonratter1996 Thanks for watching!

  • Oh yes, you have a great new friend now!

  • Yes, she's a sweetie. She's gone now :). I think the neighbor's son moved out and he took her with him. I miss seeing her sweet little face in the window each morning as I opened the curtains.

  • I like the part at the end w/ your cat's reactions to the visiting kitty, but I was surprised by their calm, no outrageous hissing or wailing at an invasion of their space.

  • Well, that's changed a bit. Little Buddy has taken an extreme dislike (I think he's jealous!) to Bella and has now started charging the door when she comes up to it. It's a glass door, so I hope he doesn't give himself a concussion! I do normally keep the inside door closed, so it shouldn't happen any more.

  • I'm so glad that she has a home! It's

    right!

  • What a fluffy cat. Lovely!!

  • Isn't it funny how cats "all of a sudden" decide you're worthy of their affections?

Unfortunately, no one has responded yet to my "found cat" postings. I can't afford to take her in myself. I'll give her a couple more weeks and then call our local no-kill rescue group.

I wish I could help all the strays, too....

    Thanks for watching!

  • Shes so pretty and fluffy. I love it when they are so affectionate. I remember a time when this white cat was hanging around my apartment, at first he kept running away from me and all of a sudden one morning he was so affectionate towards me. Sadly I couldn't take him in because my apartment doesn't allow pets. I wish I could help all the strays :(

    She looks like Lily
