  • Unusual suggestions. 1. Get a water distiller , investigate the dangers of tap water and its side effects and you may understand why I say this. 2. Start using a juicer so your body is getting enough vitimins. 3. Do something like Salsa dancing with will help you with your anxiety. Its really helped me. Ps. Good on you for posting this!

  • I'm a 30 year old male and I've been depressed for the last 5 years of my life...I knew about Paxil for years but I didn't want to take any medications...Because I knew once on it, I would be a lifer on it....I couldn't take it anymore...Went to the Doc and he put me on 20mg...I've been on it for a month and let me tell you. This pill has changed my life. I feel like a brand new man. All my problems out the door. I love it! And I don't care about being on it for the rest of my life. Ty Paxil

  • I'm on day 6 of paxil withdrawl. This is my second time trying. This time I'm using a stepper med: zoloft. This time it's bearable, but still difficult.I'm extremely irritable and frustratable. I snap at people, including my co-workers.I even see things that aren't there. Paxil should be illegal and banned worldwide. There is in fact a lawsuit against GKS.

  • @amydanielle1027 hi - I was on paxil for A LONG TIME and it just stopped working for me but was soooo scared to get off of it because of the HORRIBLE withdrawal. I finally went to the doctor and was totally prepared to suffer while transitioning to something else. He put me on Lexapro. I stopped Paxil and started Lexapro the next day. What a change!! If paxil no longer works for you, give it a try. The side effects are minimal. The cost is high but worth it! I think paxil should be banned!!

  • I just switched from Paxil, to Lexapro and Xanax. It helped me a lot.

  • A lot of depression is genetic, and a lot is also what we eat. There is an unbelievable amount of crap in our food and drink , chemicals which cause chemical imbalances in our brains. Changing your diet helps. The chinese have got it right...

  • SSRI's are just pure evil TBH

  • The world health organization found paxil to be the hardest anti depressant to withdrawal from period. Though technically it is an SSRI like Prozac, in reality it belongs in a category all it's own. It's true some individuals have no problems coming off it and it works wonders for them but it's not worth the risk. If you're one of the unlucky ones then the experience of coming off paxil is life changing. I speak from personal experience and have been in contact with many others struggling throu

  • @pcrash please do not take paxil. It won't help you process the loss of your father. It'll numb you up and make you unable to truly accept it. Find other ways in dealing with your emotional problems. Paxil is not a fix. At best it'll give you temporary relief but eventually everyone has to come off. The drug will eventually poop out and you'll effectively be in withdrawal while still on the drug. If you're really determined to try an SSRI try anything OTHER than paxil. The world health organiza
