Maybe diferent religion has different name of god. for example it's Ra in Egypt.

but that's how the helium name came from in chemistry, the other thing beside Hydrogen that related to "how the sun shine so bright"

from the god of sun, helios.

Helios was the former God of the sun. Then it became Apollo.

Apollo rides Helios' chariot. I think one or the other pulls the sun across the earth.

They're both different Gods in some myths.
