The only logical reason I can think of why the ATF/Brady camp use the "for sporting/hunting" clause is they want to divide gun owners. Because they cannot attack us and beat us when we are united. They are trying to take a play book page of what happened across the pond and slowly take our rights away divided until we have nothing left except thugs and M&P armed. Like others have said the 2nd wasn't for anything other than protection from federal tyranny everything else is just an added benefit.

Hi ar15com, I agree that practical shooting and shooting targets in general should be considered a sport. The suitable for sporting purpose infringes on our right to bear arms. The study you refer to is the 2011 one that found certain shotguns as not being suitable for importation right?
