Though the song sounds rather religious, it inspires me, an existential atheist, to live my life to the max. I always thought this was VNV's message to their listeners - Victory, Not Vengeance - To achieve, not sit in bitter regret. There are people more afraid of life, than death. To regret what you have done can be tormenting, but you can make up for it. To regret what you didn't do, is much worse because by then it'll be too late.

Mir ist es immer wieder ein Rätsel, wie man solche schönen Melodien komponieren kann. Das Lied ist einfach der Hammer. Ein absoluter Ohrwurm.
