i wouldn't call Laibach industrial (except some of their early stuff), even though they have lots of industrial elements in their music

Industrial music is at least 25 years old, since that's when I began buying imports & they existed long before then. Industrial comes from actually using machines & metal to make noise that was then added to music or it was the music itself, that is true industrial, such as banging a wrench on a factory machine for unique percussion elements, that's industrial. Electronic & techno are very different, tho some techno has elements of industrial, it's rare.

c-guide Industrial came right after the first electronic music ever... but I'm totally agreeing with you that kraftwerk had a HUGE effect on eletronica.

@HDAbyss no i dont think so-kraftwerk jmjarre and others are older then industrial i think-laibach are artistic oriented band and i love they music and philosofy-in the begining they was some kind of avanguard punk psy theatrical industrial rock-later they have moder aproach to music closer to techno trance and modern industrial music-my favorite band with some other artist like astral projection pink floyd miranda jmjarre kraftwerk mike oldfield vangelis e nomie anathema vader electricuniverse
