I used to love this lady- I even voted for her this last election. Guess she wanted change too, cause she isn't who she used to be. Never thought she would abandon us for the party, they assured me she would not. Now she votes regardless of what her constituents want. Guess I will have to do the same for her the next time she is up for re-election. I want change too, just not their kind. Change is not demolition.

Recess is not their vacation. It is a time to return to their states and listen. They have a responsibility to do so. If she wants a vacation, then she should tell Obama to stop this nonstop stupidity. Mary claims to be a Catholic, and today she says she will not vote for healthcare because it would be immoral to bankrupt the country. How about the entire bill being immoral, Mary? Where are your values? You and Democrat Party have let America down. We do not want your Facist Government!

true, they are in recess at the moment but this is a very important issue. there are many other senators out there right now(Vitter) during their "vacation". Also, members of congress get far more time off than any blue collar worker i have heard of. when exactly are they to take the time to listen to the people that elected them? Thim woman is on the cusp of losing the majority of her supporters

Congress is in August recess. Sen. Landrieu, like the rest of Congress, has a family and is entitled to vacation time with them. The health care reform debate has devolved into nonsensical grandstanding. I don't blame her for ducking until the smoke clears and for taking time to spend with her family and get some rest. Lighten up people.
