does this have to be in safe mode or no? Because when I am in normal mode, system tool doesn't let me open task manager or most of the things you shown me. And in safety mode, security tool doesn't show up. what should i do?

Thank you...it took a little while since it attacked our XP laptop, but kept following your instructions. Found the bad ".exe" file, renamed it & completed the rest of your instructions for restarting computer & then deleting the file & clearing out the recycle bin. So far so good.

Thanks for this help...I found it eventually but it was an exe. file named PMA something or other with a sort of triangle/pyramid shaped icon...the only reason i found it was that i double clicked on it in safe mode and up popped security tool 2011. Force quit, restart in safe mode then got rid. Job done. It wasn't in exactly the same place as in the vid but very nearby. Thanks again!

@JustBeFantastic You are not following the guide correctly, You will not have a folder named SDF. I suggest you watch the vbideo a few more times or check out the manual guide on the RV website.

On My Desktop (im on the laptop) it has a different fake virus program Called "Xp Ani-Virus 2011, Now do i follow the same steps you did to take it out?
