JF says: Before i got to film Fugazi live, Ian MacKaye type-writed me postcards (those Dischord postcards on recycled paper). We had a point in common. I had lung surgery around the same time he had his lung surgery and both our friends named Cynthia took care of us at the hospital. Crazy coincidence. It was an honor to meet Ian. During the 90s, i had met all my favorite musicians and to me, meeting Ian was the cherry on top of the sundae. When he was on the balcony, backstage, watching the other bands playing, i went towards him and just as i was about to talk into his ear, the band ended their song causing me to yell into Ian Mackaye's ear. I made him jump off his seat. So sorry man.
