Is this film in reverse?
A bunch of drunk blokes broke in and spilled some bear into the transmitter electronics.
Then the transmitter blew up and it has never worked again.

We didn't have any champagne handy. All the analogue transmitters had become a maintenance headache, which is why we were happy to turn them off.
