  • Tim Geithner, Hank Paulson and Ben Bernanke extorted banks in excellent standing -- forced banks to take TARP loans they did not want or need, plus sign a % of bank stock over to the federal government. Bankers were basically told, "agree to these terms or endure embarrassing public, costly audits" Now feds won't allow banks to repay loans or allow banks to return unspent TARP loans because feds want control of the banks. Illegal, impeachable, and imprisonable! People -- demand action!

  • TEA PARTIES APRIL 15th!!!!! These LIARS are BUSH X 10. AMERICA BEING FUCKED BY THESE SOCIALIST POLITICIANS WHO WANT MORE POWER FOR THEMSELVES. OUR COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON THE IDEA OF LIMITING GOVERNMENT SO THE INDIVIDUAL CAN THRIVE!!! IF YOU SIT ON YOUR ASS AND DO NOTHING YOU WILL ACHIEVE NOTHING, IF YOU WORK HARD YOU WILL BE REWARDED, UNLESS A SOCIALIST DEMOCRAT IS IN OFFICE AND TAXES YOUR HARD WORK AWAY SPREAD YOUR WEALTH TO THE LOSERS WHO CAN'T PLAY BY THE RULES. FUCK OBAMA.

  • Obama & Geithner trying to lay blame anywhere but themselves for not limiting payouts as a condition for receiving funds.

The truth,Obama Administration requested the exemption for AIG bonuses. Dodd inserted a amendment in the $787 billion boondoggle at urging of the Obama team to ensure that.

Guess who received the most campaign contributions from AIG in 08? That's right Dodd received over 103,000 08 almost a 1/4 million dollars since 03.

Obama received over 100,000 in cash

  • Part of the deregulation was that Wall Street and large corporations were not regulated under gaming laws because it was gambling on CDS's. Sick shit. Now we are giving the compulsive gambler more money to do same thing. Goldman Sacks is part of all of these new commitees. The corporations are socializing debt and privatizing profit. The people now own 80% of these corps and we should stop the money.

  • I've seen this ACT before in LAS VEGAS out on the street...

    It's called THREE CARD MONTE.

STINK BOY B.O. obama tells everyone to watch the card while he goes on to LIE, CHEAT and STEAL OUR MONEY for the BIGGEST HIEST in US HISTORY.

This IDIOT b.o. stink boy and his adminstration of TAX CHEATS, LOBBYISTS and SOCIALISTS should ALL be tried for FINANCIAL CRIMES AGAINST THE United States of America.

  • You see, the Repubs and Democrats have slightly differen't ideas about what counts and constituted government.

The Democrats solve a problem by throwing more government at it...

the Repubs want less Federal intervention.

Repubs are a little nervous right now.

  • Yes, but the point is this: AIG is not bankrupt, it never has been. The company did not fail. The employees did not lose their bonuses because of company failure. None of these things happened. The contracts were legal. The fact that the government is considering "rewriting" tax laws proves this. Very scary, these new laws. That's ok though. People who can earn this money can do so in any environment. This money is legally their money. Pay them.

  • jdfox1, you're entirely missing the point. AIG *would have been bankrupt* it the government didn't give them $170 billion. If the government had not intervened there would have been no bonuses, and those contracts could not have been honored. But I agree, Congress and the Treasury handled this very poorly. They should have set the terms *before* handing over the money.

  • Geithner wrote into the TARP bill that it would support bonus structures. He is lying lying lying. They gave congress overnight to rubberstamp this - don't trust anyone in the president' cabinet they are elitist puppets.
