  • @skaterboy3718 Yes, here time has passed. Time to move out of the way.

  • Everyone keeps complaining about her not doing lutz. Why would she put in a lutz when she would probably go out and fall on the jump. We all know her history with the 3Lz and it was not good ( 2010 olympics will show you why she doesnt do it ).So instead Carolina goes out and lands everything while people like Alissa Czisny fall on her lutz's. Carolina is just playing smart to win

  • this program would not hold up technically next year with all the young ones from Russia coming up.. I can't believe it is 2012 and we are seeing a program like this win.. This is like taking a step back in time to the 1980s.. Think of what the ladies were doing in the 1990s... Midori,Tonya, Kristi, Surya, Michelle, Tara, Lu Chen.... Ladies figure skating is sliding backwards!!!!!

  • @gio0705ne I think that ALL skaters should be able to master all triple jumps (except the axel which only a select few skaters have managed). I have the same prob with Mao Asada not always including the Lutz and Salchow jumps!! To my ming the TL, Loop, and Salchow are slightly lower value triples - at this level, Carolina SHOULD be able to include these!! I think her problem lies more in her lack of confidence re: the lutz, than lingering injuries!

  • Oh, I appreciate there is limited space but my comments have nothing to do with envy. I admit it is just a personal feeling. Sometimes you like a skater's style and sometimes not. I think Kostner is very elegant and she has some great skating skills but I do think she is overmarked quite often and obviously I am wrong because the judges see differently. My gut feeling is she will win another big medal but like P and B in ice dance take your medal and go pro. Logical not; just a preference:)

  • Wow. It is obvious we all have our opinions and nothing we, I or anyone says or does will really change that. For some reason, logical or not, I just feel Kostner has had her time in the limelight and it is time to go especially if she gets the gold this year which she has a great chance. It has nothing to do with her personally other than I think she has won quite a few prestigious medals with mediocre performances. She is missing the big jumps and yet she is a contender always.

  • @skaterboy3718 I'd rather say the opposite: she IS a great skater, only she sucks as a competitor!

  • @sapphire22011 and what about a skater who can't manage a Loop?! Carolina can indeed, she just removed from her programmes after her injuries, 'cause the Lutz jump would give her several problems. She can land it still of course, only she'd rather not take the risk and get points by other jumps and combinations! You know, this is called "strategy", every skater has one!

  • Sorry, but I don't think that a skater who can't even manage the Lutz (even as a solo jump) deserves to win major titles, no matter how good her speed and/or skating skills are percieved to be
