Actually now that I've been able to watch the many guitar players on you tube I've gained an understanding in regards to guitar playing. My understanding is I think of it much as I do a singers voice. No two singers sing alike and mostly no two guitar players play alike. Every player brings something unique and different. That's why reading music is overrated. You are better off to play by ear and know theory and scales and chord progressions and create you own music from that foundation.

I don't know about that, but I am blessed :-)
I've always said the gift God gave me was the desire to practice. But the real talent is to come up with a great arrangement like this in the first place. guitargar (Gary Lowry) is really gifted, he came up with it , you should look up his channel and see him play Blessed Assurance. I have the tab for it but I haven't learned it yet. It is a great arrangement.

My granddad was a Chet Atkins fan. I was listening to Chet on cd playing this tune the day My Granddad passed away, this brings back a nice memery. Oh by the way My Granddad did meet Chet once , and shook His hand.

@INVENT70 Thanks for sharing that with me. I'm glad that my video could bring you a nice memory. I would have loved to meet Chet or at least see him play. He was such a down to Earth person.
Watch this video all the way through and it will bring you a smile....

That was great but I have to tell you it sounded more like Walter Rodrigues Jr. than Chet Atkins. Actually I think you played it much better than Chet Atkins ever could have. And that 's coming from someone who worshipped the ground Chet Atkins walked on so you can take that as a compliment of the highest sort.

I appreciate the compliment very much. I'm sure Chet could have played it much cleaner, and Walter is really smoooooooth. I am nowhere close to being in their league.
