i have had a hard life when i was younger up until a few years back, i honestly do not see cutting as a solution for anything. Seriously it is common sense. I've had depression and all, you just have to fight through it cutting is not worth it

@SexBobOmb10 It has nothing to do with common sense. My god, that sounds ignorant. I have a lot of common sense & so do others who self injure. just because YOU do not self injure does not mean people who do it just lack sense. No, it's not a good solution and no one is saying it is. But it is a real problem people suffer with, it becomes an addiction in itself and it's people like you who further the stigma about people who SI. Think before you speak especially if you've been depressed too.

you are so inspiring :) i have been self injuring for 3 years now. and i hear all the time that people cut themselves for attention. my "best friend" actually said that to me the other day. i go through the days faking my happiness and go home everynight and cut myself. people dont realize how much they are hurting others with their words.
