Phantom of the Opera- Music of the Night DUBBED

This is a scene from the 2004 movie "Phantom of the Opera" based on the Andrew Lloyd Webber stage show. I took the vocals off the video and put in a different recording of "Music of the Night" to go with the visuals and clips from the movie. This video isn't straight dubbed because the recording was made using a different karaoke backing instead of taking the vocals out of the movie, so sometimes it doesn't match up exactly. And sometimes I had to extend, slow down or even add clips to make it as close as possible. The last part of the song (From about "Let the dream begin" or so on) it was pretty much impossible to get the vocals to match up and actually end the song at the right time too, so that part isn't exact. But, I didn't really think it needed to be. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and take a look at my other Dubbed Phantom of the Opera movies.

@spiritblue9 LOL thanks for taking the time to watch. This was not even meant as a way to "fix something broken" it's just a fandub, like you see all over youtube. Though I do disagree, Butler's voice was quite "broken" and I wish they had cast someone better in the role.

@PhantomofDB You can't really say that. Gerard wasn't even professional. He had NO training what so ever. Let's be honest now, for a person who had NO training and probably sang professionally for the FIRST time in his LIFE Gerard was AMAZING. Your probably deaf and can't hear his voice or you've gone crazy.

@cathead772 The fact that you have to qualify it as no training and singing for the first time in his life says all that needs to be said. I like Gerard Butler, I think he's a very entertaining actor, even in this film. But he was miscast horribly, because he was supposed to have an absolutely flawless voice. His character trains an opera singer... it's a little silly for him to grunt his way throuigh the role.

Please don't try to copy Butler's version. It's one of the worst I've ever heard in my life. Try any other number of phantoms - Micheal Crawford, John Owen Jones, Brad Little, Hugh Panaro... their versions are 10,000x better than Butler's could dream of being. Otherwise, not a bad effort, considering the source material.

@phantomraptor03 My intention was never to copy him. I believe i actually recorded this before the movie came out. I was just very untrained at the time. This recording is a good 8 years old now, I sing better than this now without even warming up. I posted another video of me goofing off one morning at work singing if you want to see it

@PhantomofDB I completely agree, it struck me as ludicrous that Gerard Butler's voice was supposed to have instructed Emmy Rossum's. And using his lack of experience as some sort of justification is ridiculous. He just shouldn't have got the part.
