This is what some majorLondon tourist sights looked like in 1963. Historic images of Big ben, the Thames, the voyage from Ostend across the Channel, The Tower, Westmister Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, St Paul's, Buckingham Palace, the London Docks (!), Tower Bridge, the adverts at Piccadilly (day & night), Hyde park Corner, kensington Gardens - and THE QUEEN who is riding past the cameraman towards the end of part one.
This amateur film was shot with a Bauer amateur camera on 8mm (normal8) in late Spring 1963. After some editing it was stored in the archives until the digital age. With the help of Mr. Pinnacle and his Studio Software and Mrs Divx it was slightly enhanced but the original Sixties atmosphere can still be experienced.

  • i wonder why did you only put music at the begining ?

Thank you for your interest in the London Video. My original music choice was removed because of copyright problems, so I have now added one of the "free" tracks offered by youtube. However, there is no appropriate track that fits the length of the video and there is no option to choose two tracks - I think.
