From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Ruth Ezell remembers artist Russell Kraus and his many contributions to the St. Louis art scene. Kraus passed away on November 8, 2009, but impact on the art community will continue to be felt for a long time. Among his many claims to fame is the commissioning of a home in the St. Louis area by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1950. Kraus and his wife Ruth lived in the house for nearly 40 years, and the site is now recognized with a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Kraus is also known for his glass mosaics hung in cathedrals around the world and World War II posters created as part of the WPA.
