Album: Antologia

English Lyrics:

Come what may
I'm here
Come what may
I wait for you
Back in the wind
My love
Back soon
Please
For how long
I have forgotten
Because I was
Far from you
Each moment
is worse
Back in the wind
Please
I know, I know
Who you are to me
Come what may
I wait for you

~

Portugese Lyrics:

Haja o que houver
eu estou aqui
Haja o que houver
espero por ti
Volta no vento
Ó meu amor
volta depressa
por favor
Há quanto tempo
já esqueci
Porque fiquei
Longe de ti
Cada momento
é pior
Volta no vento
Por favor
Eu sei, eu sei
Quem és para mim
Haja o que houver
espero por ti

  • Bem... Na verdade tem tradução... Esta é que está mal feita. claramente....

  • @Alkuentrus

Cool. I would appreciate any corrections you made.

  • Esta canção não tem tradução possível.

  • @MatildaHazel94

I recognize your sentiment and I understand that lost nuances and shifts of meaning are inescapable. Yet I think a translation is still worth the effort for those that have no comprehension of the language, so as to enhance their understanding, contrasting to a native speaker for whom it will, most probably, detract from their pleasure.

  • uma possível tradução para inglês seria talvez esta: . no matter what \ I´m here. \ no matter what \ I´ll wait for you. \ Come back in the wind \ my love \ Come back soon \ Please. \ For how long \ I have forgotten \ Why was I \ Away from you \ Each moment \ is getting worst \ Come back soon \ Please. \ I know \ Who you are to me. \ no matter what \ I´ll wait for you. \

  • @MacondoenGrecia one can of course keep on discussing to what is the best translation, sometimes it's about small things. I for instance would have used the words "come back with the wind" in stead of "...in the wind" , and "how long it's been" for " Há quanto tempo" ("...I did forget"). But that is of course small talk, bottomline is that the song is worldclass!

  • @netherworld man

Every thing about this song is beautiful, the words ,the music played only by the guitar's , her voice, every thing is so perfect.

You are wrigth, when you say that our music and artists belong to the best in the world. There is so much talent in Portugal that has not been yet discovered by the world of music.

Obrigado pelas suas simpaticas palavras . Fique bem.

  • Teresita, we love your songs....Viva Portugal.. from Sydney Australia!!

  • I only partly agree with those that say translating is impossible. I do'nt think it is impossible, but it takes a lot of time, empathy and effort to get close by the source. Anyway: I learned a lot on Youtube from those who tried, and I learned (a bit) to translate Portugese music (and your music and artists belong to the best in the world, you lucky Lusitanians!).

Também aprendi um pouco de Português, a língua mais bonita e poética do mundo!

  • Google translator rule....:(

  • @DeathtoRaiden1 Nem para o fado nem para nenhum idioma de origem latina!
