This video will show you how to install fonts for ubuntu. First type this in the terminal and click enter:

sudo mkdir -p /usr/share/fonts/truetype/font-install

It may ask you to type in your password. Do so and click enter to install.

Download a font from http://www.dafont.com or any other site

Extract the file and move the .tff to the desktop.

Then download this script:
http://www.mediafire.com/?rlm3lfktnhh

and move then move it from your downloads to your desktop

Then Right Click and click properties
After Click on Permissions and the where is says Execute. Click on the Allow executing file as a program

Click on the script and click Run in Terminal. Then follow the step that it show you and thats it.
You can use the font in Word Processor or gedit
