Great to see it again on Youtube. I shot this years and years ago when I worked at the ABC on GTK. This was about 2am. One camera and numerous takes to get all the angles and Bill never complained. Beach shots at Collaroy. Off his Million Dollar Bill album, then we shot "Do the best you can" off the same album that night. He truly was a legend of Auusie music.

I was lucky to up close to Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs at a school dance at Ashfield Boys High I think it was 1969 but I still remember the drum solo.

This song has always reminded me of a an upcoming hot summer in Sydney - looking forward to the beach and the heat on a chilly 16 degree day in early spring - go Billy!
