First Iraqi Stamp Festival from 29-30 April, 2009
The Iraqi post celebrated the day of the Iraqi stamp on April 22nd, 2009 by starting their first stamp festival on the 29th to the 30th of April, 2009. The Festival was attended by the Minister of Communication Faroq Abdul Rahman, the director general of Iraqi Post and communications and many media agencies marking a new step towards stabilized postal services and maintaining the Iraqi stamp credibility.
The stamp exhibition, which was organized by the Iraqi post showed different philatelic materials relating to different topics. Members of the Iraqi philatelic society participated.
I myself contributed using two panels titled:
•Covers from all over the world to my PO Box
•The Penny black and two Pence blue
