FILTHY LUCRE are a new and the most authentic sounding Sex Pistols sound alike band now in the UK. Formed in December 2008 the band features the talents of four feisty Peterborough & Oundle musicians united in their love of seventies Punk and The Pistols, and well versed in the art of creating an accurate sounding and visually exciting live performance that has already garnered them a sizable following and mailing list.

Vocalist Sean Dunleavy even looks like Johnny Rotten, and has all the wardrobe, front and invective to really be Lydon, and armed to the teeth With some choice inter song banter, he's a real charmer- hecklers? don't even fucking try it!
Bassist Angus is a rambunctious hybrid of Glen Matlock and Sid Vicious possessing the formers musicality but with Sid's volatile stage persona he creates one half of the colourful and pugnacious rhythm section alongside Jonny P's relentlessly adamant drumming.
Every riff, lick and pick-slide has been nailed with meticulous accuracy by guitarist Danny- using the same trademark Les Paul and amp as Steve Jones.

FILTHY LUCRE have systematically learned all 30 Sex Pistols songs- every vocal inflection, drum fill and guitar dynamic is there, blending together the rawness of a Pistols live performance along with the sound of the original studio recordings, making FILTHY LUCRE a tight and ferocious live band.

YOU GUYS SOUND GREAT - THE BEST IMITATION OF THE SEX PISTOLS - IN SOME INSTANCES EVEN BETTER DUE TO THE FACT THAT SID VICIOUS COULD NOT PLAY THE BASS. GLEN MATLOCK WAS THE REAL BASS PLAYER, SID WAS THERE JUST AS A SHOW OFF - A CLOWN.
