The 14th of February 2009 is the 1000th anniversary of the first known written mention of Lithuania in history. To commemorate this frabjous event I've thrown together this video of some pictures of Lithuania and the capital, Vilnius, currently a European Capital of Culture.
Music is the National Anthem of the Republic of Lithuania as performed by the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra & Seiji Ozawa.
