This is a spot I did in After Effects for Hudson Toyota. Since I began using After Effects, I always wanted to do a city scene but couldn't ever make it look quite right. Thankfully, Andrew Kramer over at www.videocopilot.net gave me the key to doing so... just turn on the "continuously rasterize" switch! Damn, what a big help! His tutorials are quite helpful and cool... oh, and FREE!

  • I never seen such advertisements on TV. Made me smile. Is that real project?

    And, yeah, Andrew Kramer style.

  • Thanks! Yeah, this was on New Jersey, New York and Connecticut TV for a while. I did another version after this that had a few things in it that I liked better, but there are things about both of them that really irritate me...

  • Darn it... I swear I hit "reply", not "remove"! Anyway... Ha. Yeah, I think I already covered that. :)

  • lol, so repetitive, 866-956-5979

  • Well, I didn't write it! I just edited it... in a very short amount of time. Most people don't seem to realize that we have 2-8 (8 is certainly the most and rare to have) hours to create these entire spots. But thanks for the comment anyway. :-/

  • just then i made one of these 3d cities for an intro, following andrew kramers tutorial, it is extremely easy to create in adobe after effects cs 3 and it took me about 30 minutes to make, but i didnt bother making diffrent textures and patterns for building, just basic. still made a whole city though, the tutorial is uploading now, you should check it out

  • Yeah, the "set up" IS extremely easy... it's just making a layout that works with your content, making camera moves, adding textures, clouds, rain and lighting effects that takes so much longer... Ah, the tweaking process...
