@PlanetVerdia Neither of us will change the other's opinion. I just think that you should not deny facts to make yourself look better when the reality is we are all barbaric. If you live you are having a negative affect on the planet and on other living things in some way. It is just how things are. If you get a raise at your job that mean someone else stays poor. Give and take is the way of the world and that is the reality of things whether you like it or not.

@PlanetVerdia As far as plants pain response, it is chemical and cannot be heard by humans, but that does not mean it does not exist. The meat industry in america does have problems and that I will not deny. That is why when possible I try to buy from more reliable and hopefully humane sources. Honestly, I think it is rude to say women turn away then cook, men do just as much, how many men, really, could and would kill something bigger than a fish with their hands?

@PlanetVerdia most of the animal slaughter videos are reenactions by PETA. I have seen the 'real' videos and yes it sucks however I really dont care. I dont shield my eyes from it, I revel in it because that is what it is to be a real carnivore. In fact I plan to raise and slaughter my own livestock when I get the land to. Hunters also kill their food for themselves, and I am sure they said "scientists may be right or wrong" when someone said animals felt pain as well.

As for the feeling pain vegetable and fruit, well, the scientists might be right or wrong. From what i know, they don't squeal, they don't bleed to death and they don't fight back for life. Listen all i want, is to make people see that one can live without meat, better and longer too. Watch those animal slaughter videos Maybe it'll change your mind.
