This baby robin was brought to the bird rehabilitation centre where I volunteer, and I took it home to care for it overnight (it is otherwise illegal to raise wild birds in your home).

  • we have baby robins in our window ledge! they are so cute. and they are about 2 days old!!!

i wish i could bring one in to my house like that.

  • You probably shouldn't wish that... they have to be fed 35-40 times a day. :p Resist temptation! They are very hard to care for properly... this one did eventually die. :( Also, a lot of young birds fledge, where they leave the nest but can't necessary quite fly yet and are hopping around on the ground. Many people think they have been abandoned, but their parents are still bringing them food -- so if you ever see one like that, don't pick it up. Just keep the cat inside! :)
