Sound really sucks, but still a decent video showing the cycling of the M1 rifle during operation.

  • You have the proper sling on there, use it. It will help the recoil and the return to target even faster and easier.

  • @EvilxMerlin Yep. Using a hasty sling does make a huge difference.

  • How about some more video's on the M1 Garand? Maybe talking about cleaning and maintenance. Showing the proper grease points.

  • Is the bolt supposed to unlock once you put the clip it? I have to put the clip in, pull it back an inch to unlock the bolt and then smack the op rod forward.

  • Hahaha It sounds like its shooting springs. Good video.

  • Is it weird if you get a boner when handling/shooting an m1 garand? Just wondering.

  • Hmm, to the comments below about the sling isn't used for standing... What? That ain't no AR-15, M-16, or M4 that rifle fires a 30 caliber 30.06 round. It HAS recoil, and yes the sling does help even when standing, especially with rapid fire and reacquiring your target(s)... K? :-)

  • I credit the M1 for winning WW2 in the hands of the American Troops.

The Nazis used bolt action rifles, great guns but no where near the amount of rds down range.

The difference became a force multiplier for the allies.

  • Ping! I still remember stories my G'pa told me about the dreaded ping. Great at distance, kinda sucked at night, trenches etc... Everyone including the enemy knew what the ping! meant. Great rifle though, would love to have one!

  • @Ltb0b Yep ping!! Awesome

  • What kind of camera do you use? Maybe think about getting some kind of wind sock? :-)
