man i really wish we could see whats happening at 0:45 when everyone laughs

You say she can't sing because she's actually singing. Her voice isn't covered by computer-generated pleasing sounds, so to you -- it may sound ridiculous, but not every singer has the perfect, smooth voice the pop stars today have. Thank you technology.

@Esgalduine Not even close, it is nice though.

@Lilacuno Yes :) I'm glad you feel that way. I love how hopeful she makes me feel.
-
@iluvchopsuey Definitely. This performance makes me feel like the world isn't such a scary place.

Regina you're adorable, a great voice...!
-
Madonna sings it as 'I gotchu.... under my skin' so it's very close to 'got Jew' anyway. Madonna certainly doesn't come close to singing 'I've got you... under my skin'.
I like this version by Regina. I hadn't heard it, or of it, until now. I think it's an underrated song and I'm glad to find that it's been covered in such a non-electronic way. I really like the musical accompaniment.

There's such a warm atmosphere in everything she sings.

I think Regina's version is much better! Love her! :)

Madonna's song
Was she purpously saying it like "I got jew under my skin" to be funny?

Yep. (She is Jewish herself by the way.)

I got jew under my skin? How stupid is that?
But i love this cover if she where more serious.

She is Jewish, and this was sung at the Jewish Heritage Festival. Just some fun is all and her own witty spin on it. As you can hear the crowd got a real kick out of it :D
One of the things I think this shows about Regina is how she can can both simultaneously lighthearted and amusing and moving/though-provoking in the same song. She does it in so many of her own songs and it is just an amazing talent...

Is she saying, "I got Jew under my skin" at 2:08 and a few times after? It is the Jewish Festival in NYC and it would explain why the audience suddenly erupts in laughter at that point. I dont know for sure, but it certainly sounds like shes saying Jew at that particular part... Then again at 3:02 (and the audience laughs again)... Then switches back to "you."
