I USED to love hip hop back in the day (RumDMC, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, LLCoolJ, Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force, Grand Master Flash with "The Message" and "White Lines"etc........Hip Hop USED to make people think about social and political issues. Now, IT BLOWS. That's why it's rock, electonica, and jazz for me these days. And a smidgen of BEETHOVEN every now and then.

I'm not trying to be rude or mean to fans of this genre, but you can compare the lyrics for yourself between Metal, and "EDUCATED Hip Hop and Rap. Metal still has more advanced vocabulary, and still is more heart touching.

That is why Metal stands as the strongest genre of music of humanity. It is underrated because there are more undeveloped brains out there than there are developed. And they haven't learned how to praise and appreciate what real music is.

This is why Hip Hop and Rap sucks, they started out good and in the end are shit. On the other hand ever since Metal existed it HAS ALWAYS been good. Rock is different from Metal, Rock has changed enormously just like what has happened to Hip Hop and Rap now. Rock sucks, bands like Paramore, Linkin Park etc the list can go on forever on how many wannabes just want to get money. Metal talks about the same thing the old Hip Hop and Rap talked about. And they have always been talking about it.

Thank you for this. The only thing I think you missed out on is Rakim. He just dropped an album last year and recently tours on Rock the Bells. Everything you said though is right on the money. An additional problem is that Wayne fans don't know about the manipluation of corporate America as well as marketing. The sad truth is that they don't even wish to learn.
